Gold
The gold I use for the jewelry is always recycled, this is the standard practice for just about any jewelry you purchase these days. Solid gold jewelry is a sustainable investment. If you take good care of the jewelry you can wear it for an incredibly long time, it can be repaired if necessary or you can even reuse the gold someday.

Gemstones
The gemstones I use are hand-picked by me and my sister. We do this in many cases very close to the source, from the gem cutters themselves or from merchants who employ gem cutters. The origin of gemstones can sometimes be difficult to fully trace, but this way we try to do it as best we can. I use natural hand cut gemstones with all the “imperfections” that make them just so beautiful and unique. Because of this, these are also not the gemstones that are most coveted in the “normal” industry which also makes them more honestly created.

Those “imperfections” are inclusions, which are natural impurities or inclusions that develop during the formation process of the stone over millions of years. These can be air bubbles, growth lines or other minerals, for example.
